Eligibility is where competitions get protested. Age, identity, signed consent and current suspensions all have to line up for every player, every match — and be checkable at the gate in seconds.
Verify once, carry it forward
Age and ID verification should happen once against a player’s profile photo and date of birth, then follow the player rather than being redone every league.
Consent and waivers are version-pinned: you keep a snapshot of exactly what was signed, and required forms gate a player onto the roster.
Check in at the gate
At kickoff, officials scan each player’s check-in QR to validate face-vs-photo, team, jersey number against the submitted squad, and any active suspension — the manual paper ID check, automated.
Strict leagues block ineligible or off-roster players; leagues that allow guests can override with a recorded decision.
